Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) certification must be updated every three years. Recertification provides producers with updates to the BQA program information that have surfaced since the producer originally had the classroom training. This consists of a refresher course for the BQA guidelines and is also an excellent time for producers to perform a self-assessment of their operation.

There are currently three methods of recertification. The Pennsylvania Beef Council holds recertification classroom training sessions throughout Pennsylvania each year. Producers can simply attend a training session at the nearest location. We encourage all producers who are able to attend a classroom training to do so. Check out our Events page to find and register for a training in your area. If a classroom training is not scheduled locally, producers are able to either utilize this website to recertify or attend an event eligible for recertification credits.

To complete the online recertification, click the "View and Download Training Module" button below and study the information on the slides. Click the "Take Re-Certification Exam" button when ready to complete the self-assessment.

If an error occurs with the online submission, the self-assessment is also available to print  in order to either fax or mail back to the Pennsylvania Beef Council Office. You may also take our online exam here. We thank you for your interest in the PA BQA Program.
